A Few Words About Us

The New York American String Teachers Association (NYASTA) is the New York chapter of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA).

Its mission is to:

• Promote a wider interest and participation in string performance
• Promote the highest standards in string pedagogy and instruction
• Serve as a coordinating agency for the professional advancement of its members

To meet these goals, NYASTA and ASTA offer a variety of activities and resources such as publications, continuing education, workshops, conferences, competitions and summer camps.

NYASTA is a 501c(3) non-profit corporation.
