The New York American String Teachers Association (NYASTA) is the New York chapter of the American String Teachers Association (ASTA). Its mission is to: * To promote a wider interest and participation in string performance * To promote the highest standards in string pedagogy and instruction * To serve as a coordinating agency for the professional advancement of its members To meet these goals, NYASTA and ASTA offer a variety of activities and resources such as publications, continuing education, workshops, conferences, competitions and summer camps.
